Good Morning! It has been awhile, I know. I’ve been slacking on the blogging. How about this weather lately?? Definitely doesn’t feel like the end of October! And I don’t hate it. Fall is Right Around the Corner… Tuesday, Aug 31 2010

Can you believe today is the last day of August? This summer has flown by and now fall is right around the corner. Are you thinking about some fall renovations? Maybe you want to add a fireplace for the cold days ahead or want to put some insulation around an existing enclosed patio. Whatever your fall home needs, A.P. Savino has done it all. Give Tony a call and he would be more than happy to discuss options with you. Also, keep an eye out for our brand new website, coming in September. Our new look will showcase our work and also have an In Progress page which will show weekly updated photos of projects in progress. This is mainly for the benefit of clients who may travel and would like to view the progress on their home from anywhere, but it is also a good look into our process here at AP Savino. We are very excited about the new website, which should be live in mid-late September.

That’s all that’s new around here. Enjoy the last few days of summer and the long Labor Day weekend!

Things are Moving Along Wednesday, Jun 16 2010

Good morning everyone. Things are definitely moving along here at AP Savino. Projects are getting closer and closer to completion and structures are beginning to look like homes. It is always a wonderful feeling at the end of a project when the home owners begin to move in. It gives us here at AP Savino an enormous sense of accomplishment, that we have provided yet another family with their dream home. Throughout the entire process, from the initial design and working with the architect, to the construction of the home itself, Tony and the entire team at AP Savino are dedicated to listening to what the client wants and working with all aspects of the design and construction to make sure their final home is exactly what they have always dreamed of. We would love to work with you to create the home of your dreams. Please give us a call to set up an appointment. (203) 698-1147. We look forward to hearing from you. Have a great day!

Spring has Sprung! Wednesday, Jun 2 2010

As I sit here writing this, the sun is peeking through the clouds. Finally, it is officially spring! I have been so busy with our other venture, Sound Solar Systems, I have completely ignored this blog, and I apologize. It is hard to figure out what to write about, but I owe it to you guys to give it a shot. AP Savino has been pretty steady, but we are always looking for more projects. Spring is a great time to do a little remodeling and get your home in tip top shape for summer! You can’t have barbecues with your friends on a dilapidated, weathered deck. That would just be awkward…and dangerous. So, when you are outside planting your vegetable garden or cutting your grass, take a good look at your home. There’s never a better time than now to start the project you’ve always wanted to do to make your home into the most comfortable, wonderful place it can be. And who better to transform it than AP Savino? With our over 20 years experience, family-oriented attitude and such good looking people you really can’t go wrong. So please, give us a call and talk to Tony about any home improvement project, small or large. We will be happy to take a look. Enjoy the week and fingers crossed for a beautiful weekend!

Stress Wednesday, Jun 2 2010

With warm weather approaching, things are getting pretty hectic around here. Thankfully, our business is doing well and we are getting new projects. New projects however, means lots of work and stress levels tend to get high. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about lowering stress levels both in the office and in my personal life. The head honchos here all play golf…but I am not talented enough nor have the best hand eye coordination, so that’s out. There’s spa appointments and massages but unfortunately my pay grade does not have room for these luxuries. Then I started thinking about how to make the office less stressful. I have taken to listening to upbeat music (pandora.com is amazing) and communication, communication, communication. In all aspects of life, but especially in this business, communication is so very important. Both good communication with clients (so we don’t accidentally tear down extra walls or paint a whole home the complete wrong color, both of which would be very bad for business) and good communication between us here at the office are crucial to running a less stressful, more successful business (that should be a slogan). We believe that communication is the most important aspect in any business, or any facet of life for that matter. Keep that in mind the next time you are super-stressed. And any de-stressing tips you may have are greatly appreciated. Have a wonderful day!

Inaugural Blog Wednesday, Jun 2 2010

As a first time blogger, I am excited to enter this world and share about our company, AP Savino LLC. We are a general contracting firm in Old Greenwich, CT. For the most part, we stick to Fairfield and Westchester Counties, however we have done projects all over CT and NY. We are a small, family oriented business. Tony Savino, owner and principal, is a trained architect, he graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in architecture. However, he soon realized he would rather be in the field, hands-on building homes and commercial structures. After a series of other companies, AP Savino was formed in 1998 and has been thriving ever since. Tony has come across some great people in this business, some he has chosen to welcome into his company in various positions. Ken Romano, lead project manager and second in command, has been with AP Savino for many years. Formerly a FedEx project manager, Ken brings many years of experience to AP Savino. Mike Borgesano is our lead carpenter and is the boss in the field. Tony’s dad, Anthony, has also worked with Tony for years, overseeing job sites. Last year, I (Kira) joined my dad, Tony, in his business. A recent graduate from Eckerd College in Florida, I am blessed to have the opportunity to come into this business as Director of Marketing. So that’s a little bit about who we are. Visit our website for more information: http://www.apsavinollc.com. Enjoy this beautiful day!!
